Job title: Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray is responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures for the purpose of aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Operate x-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients.
2. Position patients correctly to ensure clear and accurate images are obtained.
3. Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
4. Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate image production.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to review images and assist with interpretation.
6. Document and maintain patient records and image files.
7. Ensure patient comfort and provide support during imaging procedures.
8. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards related to radiologic technology.
9. Assist with the training and supervision of student technologists and other staff members.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
2. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
3. State licensure as a radiologic technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic techniques.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to adapt to new technology and procedures.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
