Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Summary:
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform MRI scans on patients as ordered by physicians.
2. Position patients correctly to ensure optimal imaging results.
3. Operate and maintain MRI equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
4. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the scanning process.
5. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to the MRI procedure.
6. Keep detailed records of procedures and patient information.
7. Collaborate with medical staff to interpret imaging results.
8. Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in MRI technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Registered MRI Technologist (R.T. MRI) preferred.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- State licensure or certification required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
