Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to produce diagnostic quality images for physicians. You will work closely with patients to explain procedures, position them correctly, and ensure their comfort during the imaging process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
2. Position patients correctly and carefully to get the best possible image.
3. Follow all safety protocols to protect patients and yourself from radiation exposure.
4. Maintain and operate imaging equipment to ensure quality images are produced.
5. Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate and timely imaging reports.
6. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of all information.
7. Assist with patient scheduling and ensure efficient workflow in the imaging department.
8. Stay up-to-date on new imaging techniques and technologies to improve patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
2. ARRT certification and state licensure required.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
5. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
6. Physical stamina and dexterity to position patients and operate equipment.
7. Knowledge of radiology procedures and protocols.
8. CPR certification may be required.
