Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician
Job Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to administer radioactive drugs and create images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients
- Operate imaging equipment to capture images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Monitor and assess patient reactions during imaging procedures
- Ensure the safety of all patients and staff during imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and test results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology
- Certification in nuclear medicine technology from an accredited program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and focus on patient care
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
