Job Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary:
As an Echo Technologist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms to provide diagnostic information to physicians regarding the patient's heart health. You will use ultrasound equipment to capture images and videos of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood flow.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct echocardiograms according to physician orders.
2. Position patients and equipment to obtain clear images.
3. Analyze images and videos to identify abnormalities or irregularities.
4. Provide preliminary findings to physicians and assist in interpretation.
5. Maintain equipment and ensure proper sterilization procedures.
6. Keep accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
7. Educate patients about the procedure and answer any questions they may have.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing procedures.
8. CPR certification.
