Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information for patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians
2. Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging
3. Monitor patients during scans and ensure their safety and comfort
4. Maintain and operate CT scanner equipment
5. Ensure images are of high quality and accurately capture the necessary information
6. Communicate with radiologists to review images and provide preliminary findings
7. Document and maintain patient records and imaging reports
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure
9. Provide excellent patient care and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
2. ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
3. State licensure as a CT technologist
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
7. Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
