Job title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and ensuring their comfort and safety.
2. Position patients properly to obtain the best possible images.
3. Operate CT equipment and adjust settings to obtain clear and accurate images.
4. Monitor patients during scans and respond to any potential issues or complications.
5. Ensure proper patient identification, image labeling, and documentation.
6. Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret images.
7. Maintain equipment, supplies, and patient records in accordance with regulatory standards.
8. Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
2. ARRT certification in CT.
3. State licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in image acquisition and documentation.
8. Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
