Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary: A CT Technologist is responsible for operating CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders.
2. Position patients correctly and ensure proper safety precautions are taken.
3. Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images.
4. Monitor patients during scans and ensure their comfort and safety.
5. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns.
6. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
7. Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret images for diagnosis.
8. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Keep up-to-date with advancements in CT technology and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and patient care skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
7. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to follow protocols and guidelines for radiation safety.
9. Willingness to participate in continuing education and training.
