Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. The CT Technologist is responsible for operating CT equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They must ensure high-quality images are produced while adhering to safety protocols and patient care standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform CT scans on patients as prescribed by physicians.
2. Position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain accurate images.
3. Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
4. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast materials.
5. Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
6. Assist radiologists in interpreting images and communicating results.
7. Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
8. Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and protocols.
9. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
10. Stay current with advancements in CT technology and techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
2. Certification in CT imaging from an accredited program.
3. Valid ARRT certification and state licensure.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.
7. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficient in using CT equipment and imaging software.
10. CPR certification.
