Job Title: Echo Technologist
Job Summary:
The Echo Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic echocardiography procedures and assisting in the interpretation of test results. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and comprehensive imaging services to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform echocardiography procedures using specialized equipment.
2. Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
3. Collaborate with physicians to obtain and interpret test results.
4. Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
7. Participate in quality assurance activities.
8. Stay informed about advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.
9. Provide excellent patient care and communication.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) preferred.
3. Previous experience in echocardiography or related field.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
8. Proficient in operating echocardiography equipment.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
