Job title: Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients. The Ultrasound Technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, conduct imaging procedures, and provide accurate and high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
2. Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions.
3. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
4. Monitor and assess patient during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
5. Document and record imaging findings accurately.
6. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide diagnostic support.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
8. Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
9. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
10. Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Ultrasound Technology or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
4. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
8. Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and software.
9. Current CPR certification.
10. Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
