Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for operating CT equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images of patients. They work closely with doctors and other medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly
- Operate CT equipment to perform scans according to doctor's orders
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort
- Evaluate images for quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and scan results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology
- ARRT certification in CT
- State licensure as a radiologic technologist
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices
