Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Your role will involve working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and positioning them properly
- Operate CT equipment to capture images of specified areas of the body
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning process
- Monitor patients' vital signs during scans and assist with any adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team to review and interpret imaging results
- Keep equipment clean and in proper working order
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the use of CT equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- Current certification in CT imaging (ARRT or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
