Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
- Operate specialized imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners
- Position patients correctly for imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and report any abnormalities to physicians
- Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) preferred
- State licensure or certification as required by law
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and protocols
- Experience with imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals
