Job Title: Radiology Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Radiology Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform nuclear medicine procedures, such as administering radiopharmaceuticals and capturing images of organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and accurate imaging results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
- Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture images of organs and tissues
- Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain the best possible images
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Process and analyze images to ensure high quality and accuracy
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree or higher in nuclear medicine technology or related field
- Certification in nuclear medicine technology from a recognized organization
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
