Job Title: Radiology MRI Tech
Job Summary:
The Radiology MRI Tech is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform MRI scans on patients using specialized equipment
- Position patients correctly and explain the procedure to them
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the imaging process
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with radiologists to analyze and interpret imaging results
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep accurate records of patient information and imaging results
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent exposure to radiation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- Certification in MRI technology from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a radiologic technologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience working with MRI machines and related equipment
