Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
A Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs, bones, or tissues. They work closely with radiologists to interpret images and provide quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process to them
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best images
- Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and other imaging equipment
- Follow protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained
- Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret images
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Follow safety protocols to protect patients and themselves from radiation exposure
- Keep equipment clean and in working order
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- ARRT certification
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of radiation safety and patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
