Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to obtain accurate imaging results, contributing to accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform radiographic examinations according to physician's orders
- Set up and adjust imaging equipment to optimize image quality
- Position patients and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
- Operate and control radiation safety measures to minimize exposure
- Process and evaluate images for clarity and precision
- Collaborate with physicians to analyze and interpret imaging results
- Maintain patient records and update relevant information
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Adhere to protocols, procedures, and safety standards
- Assist in the training and education of radiologic technology students, if applicable
- Continuously expand knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Commitment to providing quality patient care and safety
- Proficient in using imaging software and electronic health records (EHR)
