Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, utilizing advanced radiology equipment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely patient care. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and compassionate approach will contribute to the effective diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Utilize radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and mammograms, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Properly prepare and position patients to ensure high-quality images and accurate results.
- Review and analyze images to ensure diagnostic quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient histories, symptoms, and appropriate imaging techniques as part of the diagnostic process.
- Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement and adhere to infection control and radiation protection protocols to safeguard patients, staff, and self.
- Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, equipment used, and pertinent details into electronic medical records.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiologic technology and practices through continuous learning and professional development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Certified and registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current state license or eligibility to obtain one.
- In-depth knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures.
- Proficiency in utilizing imaging software and electronic medical records systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
