Job title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanning equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly on the scanning table
- Operate CT equipment to capture images of designated body parts
- Evaluate images for quality and ensure that the appropriate images are taken
- Monitor patients during CT scans and address any concerns or reactions they may have
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning by performing regular maintenance and quality control checks
- Assist radiologists in interpreting images and providing accurate reports
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT
- Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist
- Strong knowledge of CT equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to continue education and training in the field
