Job Title: Echocardiographer/Cardiovascular Sonographer (Echo Technologist)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer/Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiovascular diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform echocardiograms using ultrasound equipment to assess the structure and function of the heart
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and answer any questions
- Analyze images and data to provide accurate diagnostic information to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required
- Graduation from an accredited cardiovascular technology program
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Experience in echocardiography and cardiovascular sonography preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
