Job Title: Echo Sonographer (Echo Technologist)
Job Summary:
As an Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform echocardiograms on patients using ultrasound equipment.
2. Obtain and record patient medical history and other relevant information.
3. Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic accuracy.
4. Assist physicians in interpreting test results and determining treatment plans.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
7. Stay current on advances in technology and techniques in the field of echocardiography.
8. Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
9. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in sonography or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred.
3. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
8. Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and imaging software.
9. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
