Job Title: Mammographer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mammographer to join our team and provide high-quality imaging services for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. The Mammographer will operate specialized imaging equipment to conduct breast exams and mammograms, collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform mammograms and breast exams as ordered by healthcare providers
- Position and instruct patients during imaging procedures to obtain clear and accurate images
- Calibrate and operate mammography equipment according to established protocols
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and provide recommendations for further testing or treatment
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in imaging procedures
- Stay current on advances in mammography technology and techniques through continuing education and training
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT certification in Mammography
- State licensure or certification as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and focus on patient care
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
