Job Title: Vascular Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various vascular diseases. This role will involve working closely with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and accurate test results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform vascular ultrasound examinations to assess blood flow and circulation
2. Identify and document abnormalities or pathologies in vascular structures
3. Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating vascular diseases
4. Maintain and calibrate equipment used for vascular imaging procedures
5. Educate patients on the procedures and answer any questions they may have
6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols during procedures
7. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
8. Keep accurate records of all procedures and patient information
9. Stay current on new technologies and advancements in vascular imaging
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Vascular Technology or related field
2. Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
3. Knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in testing procedures
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Proficiency in operating vascular ultrasound equipment
8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
