Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray and other imaging equipment to assist doctors and medical professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. You will work closely with patients to ensure their safety and comfort during procedures while producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Follow protocols and safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions
- Assist medical professionals in performing procedures such as biopsies and fluoroscopy
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Stay current on new technology and techniques in the field of radiology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Certified and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure or certification as required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to patient care and comfort
