Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for operating imaging equipment to administer radioactive drugs and capture images of patients' internal organs for diagnostic purposes. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures.
2. Operate imaging equipment to capture images of internal organs.
3. Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
5. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
6. Follow radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
7. Provide patient care and support throughout the imaging process.
8. Assist with scheduling and coordinating imaging procedures.
9. Stay current on advancements and developments in nuclear medicine technology.
10. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- State licensure or certification as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Prior experience in nuclear medicine technology preferred.
