Job Title: Radiology Tech - Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiology Tech - Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to create diagnostic images of patients' bodies for the purpose of diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in order to obtain images of specific areas of the body
- Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners to produce images of internal organs and tissues
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy
- Consult with physicians to discuss imaging results and provide recommendations for further testing or treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Stay up-to-date on new techniques and technologies in the field of nuclear medicine
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- Current state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
