Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MRI technology and a commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate MRI scanners and other imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during imaging procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to obtain necessary information for imaging procedures
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during imaging procedures
- Maintain and update patient records and imaging equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Stay current on new technologies and advancements in MRI imaging techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Certification in MRI technology from an accredited program
- State licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient care and safety
