Job title: MRI Technologist
Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They work closely with doctors and other medical professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality images are produced.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate MRI scanners to capture images of patients' internal structures
- Monitor patients during scans and adjust equipment settings as needed
- Evaluate images for quality and clarity, and collaborate with doctors to determine if additional scans are necessary
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- Certification in MRI technology
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
