Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials in order to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic scans
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Analyze and interpret imaging results for physicians
- Maintain and update patient records and imaging equipment
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure risks
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field
- Certification in nuclear medicine technology from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and imaging procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing imaging procedures
- Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
- Willingness to stay current on advancements in nuclear medicine technology
