Job Title: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic CT scans on patients as directed by physicians
- Prepare patients for CT examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Operate CT equipment and control console to adjust technical factors and produce high-quality images
- Monitor patients during scans and ensure proper positioning to capture clear images
- Assist physicians in performing specialized CT procedures and interventions as needed
- Maintain equipment and supplies in the CT department, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
- Adhere to all radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff
- Document patient information, exam results, and other relevant data in electronic medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
