Job Title: Vascular Technologist
Job Summary:
The Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess blood flow and vascular structures in patients. They use ultrasound technology to capture images of the arteries and veins to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform ultrasounds on patients to evaluate blood flow and identify vascular abnormalities.
2. Analyze images and data to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
3. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
4. Provide patient education and support before, during, and after the procedure.
5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper patient care and treatment.
6. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in vascular technology or related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vascular diseases.
4. Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting diagnostic images.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
