Job title: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist
Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using CT technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They are responsible for operating CT equipment, positioning patients correctly, and producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
- Position patients correctly and ensure their safety and comfort during procedures
- Follow protocols for administering contrast media and other medications as required
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines
- Maintain equipment and supplies and report any malfunctions or deficiencies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- ARRT certification in CT technology
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in CT imaging preferred
