Job title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic CT scans on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders
- Maintain and operate CT equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Review images for quality and accuracy
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Assist with the administration of contrast agents as needed
- Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in CT technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT certification in CT
- State licensure as a CT Technologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and protocols
