Job Title: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist is responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly.
2. Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
3. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during CT scans.
4. Monitor the quality of CT images and make adjustments as needed.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and equipment logs.
6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
7. Collaborate with radiologists to interpret CT images and provide accurate diagnoses.
8. Assist in the training of other technologists and students.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in radiography and CT.
3. State licensure as a radiologic technologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
