Job Title: MRI/CT Technologist
Job Summary: As an MRI/CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform MRI and CT scans on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. You will work closely with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate imaging results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform MRI and CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians.
2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
3. Prepare and position patients for imaging scans.
4. Operate and maintain imaging equipment in adherence to safety protocols.
5. Monitor patients during scans and communicate any issues to the radiologist.
6. Review imaging results with radiologists and assist in diagnosis.
7. Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
8. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
9. Provide education and guidance to patients regarding imaging procedures.
10. Stay current with developments in MRI and CT technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
2. Certification in MRI and/or CT imaging.
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in imaging procedures.
7. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology principles.
8. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
9. Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends.
10. Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
