Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary: The CT Technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting CT scans in accordance with established protocols and procedures
- Positioning patients properly to obtain the best possible images
- Operating and maintaining CT equipment
- Monitoring patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort
- Assessing images for quality and communicating any concerns to radiologists or physicians
- Maintaining patient records and documentation
- Assisting with patient education and answering any questions or concerns
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- ARRT certification in CT
- State licensure or certification as required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
