Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to obtain images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and bones for diagnosis and treatment purposes. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and high-quality images are produced.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms.
2. Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images.
3. Ensure patients are properly shielded to minimize radiation exposure.
4. Work with radiologists and physicians to analyze and interpret images.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.
6. Follow safety protocols to protect yourself and patients from exposure to radiation.
7. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment.
8. Stay current on advancements in radiologic technology and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
2. ARRT certification or eligibility for certification.
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients when necessary.
