Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will operate computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They will work closely with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly.
2. Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
3. Monitor patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
4. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnoses.
5. Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
7. Keep accurate records of all procedures and patient data.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in CT technology.
3. State licensure as a CT Technologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
