Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. You will operate ultrasound equipment, develop film, and prepare examining rooms while maintaining equipment and medical supplies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform ultrasounds on patients as ordered by physicians
2. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions
3. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and examination rooms
4. Record and maintain patient records and results of procedures
5. Assist physicians in interpreting ultrasound results
6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and patient care at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong technical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
