Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment and other imaging technologies to help physicians diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. Your keen attention to detail and strong technical skills will be vital in producing high-quality images and providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient interviews and reviewing medical history to ensure safe and accurate imaging procedures.
- Positioning patients appropriately and applying radiation protection measures to minimize exposure.
- Operating X-ray equipment and other imaging technologies, ensuring proper settings and image quality.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine imaging requirements.
- Assisting physicians during invasive procedures, such as fluoroscopic examinations and biopsies.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including imaging results and patient information.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and reporting issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assisting in training and supervising radiology students and other staff members as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent required.
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Proven experience operating X-ray equipment and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficiency in computer and information management systems.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and healthcare practices.
