Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in patient care by using medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise in operating radiographic equipment and knowledge of radiation safety protocols will ensure accurate results and maintain the utmost patient safety. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures as per physician's orders, accurately positioning patients and setting the appropriate equipment parameters.
- Ensure patient's safety by following proper radiation protection measures and making sure the imaging equipment is functioning optimally.
- Review and assess the quality of acquired images, ensuring diagnostic standards are met; reposition patients or adjust equipment as necessary.
- Maintain patient records, accurately documenting procedures and imaging results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain accurate and relevant patient information and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment planning process.
- Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures, providing necessary imaging support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on advances and developments in the field of radiology, attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and actively contribute to the enhancement of departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Proven experience in performing radiographic imaging procedures in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and related software.
- Solid understanding of radiographic positioning techniques, anatomical landmarks, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in capturing images and documenting patient information.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges and changing situations.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing high-quality patient care.
