Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and skeletal structure. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients, ensuring their well-being and supporting overall healthcare goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform CT scans, utilizing appropriate imaging protocols, to obtain accurate and high-quality images.
- Ensure patients' safety and comfort during CT procedures, explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Maintain and operate CT equipment effectively, troubleshooting any technical issues and reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review and analyze images, identifying any abnormalities or indicators of disease.
- Accurately document patient information, including medical history and any contrast agents used, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, minimizing exposure to patients, colleagues, and yourself.
- Assist in patient management, including preparing examination rooms, positioning patients, and administering contrast agents as required.
- Stay updated with advancements and best practices in CT technology and participate in continuing education to enhance professional knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating CT scanners and associated equipment.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively and prioritizing patient care.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer patients when necessary.
