Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team in Mauston, WI. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs, tissues, and bones for interpretation by a physician. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to patient care, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Review and evaluate images for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all necessary information is provided for an accurate diagnosis
- Administer contrast agents and other pharmaceuticals as required for CT scanning
- Ensure proper patient positioning and provide clear instructions to patients throughout the procedure
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast agents and take appropriate action if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all patient procedures and prepare reports as required
- Assist in the training and development of new CT technologists as needed
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Certification in CT imaging from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT imaging
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of CT equipment and related computer software
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
