Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
A CT Technologist is responsible for operating specialized medical equipment to produce detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and blood vessels. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for CT scans and explain imaging procedures.
2. Position patients correctly and operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images.
3. Monitor patients during scans and ensure their safety and comfort.
4. Ensure proper functioning of CT equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.
5. Maintain detailed records of patient information and imaging results.
6. Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and assist in making accurate diagnoses.
7. Follow all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in CT technology and imaging techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in CT technology.
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and patient care skills.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
