Job Title: PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radioactive drugs and using specialized equipment to create images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures.
2. Operate imaging equipment to produce clear and accurate images.
3. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and ensure their safety.
4. Analyze images and work closely with physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
5. Maintain and repair imaging equipment as needed.
6. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure.
7. Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information.
8. Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer any questions they may have.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT).
- Previous experience working as a PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
